The Crusaders got on the board in the fourth inning when Andrew Tuck had a 2 RBI single, then stole second and scored on a Cayden Nance single back through the middle.

After taking the lead 3-0 in the fourth, the Crusader defense had back-toback- to-back errors in the top of the 5th, followed by a 2 RBI single to tie the game 3-3 after five innings.

Tuck's single with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning got things started for RTCA. Nance was hit by a pitch, and Dawson Pinkard and Cam Williams had RBI singles to push the Crusader back on top 5-3.

Williams retired the side in the top of the seventh inning with two ground balls and a strikeout to end the game and give the Crusaders 5-3 win and the Region Title. Coach Fitzgerald after the game said, “Very proud of this team, being ranked number one puts a target on your back, everybody comes with their best effort against you. We have had a long layoff and very little prep with spring break last week. That combined with the job done by FPCA on the mound, and our bad play on defense in the fifth inning, gave us a chance to face and overcome some adversity.” vs. CCA

Karson Evans had a good day on the mound allowing just three hits as RTCA got the win over CCA. Robert Toombs picked up one run in the bottom of the first inning to take the early lead. But over the next four innings neither team could get any runs across the plate. RTCA finally broke the game open in the sixth inning as they scored six runs to take a 7-0 lead. CCA picked up two runs in the top of the seventh inning, but that was all they could get as RTCA took the win, 7-2.

Clayton Meadows led RTCA with two RBI's in the game. vs. Memorial

Britton Tabor, Dawson Pinkard, and Meadows combined to throw a nohitter against the Matadors of Memorial Day last Thursday. Cam Williams had a big day at the plate with two home runs, and eight RBI's. RTCA came out with four runs in the top of the first inning to take the early lead. They added four more in the second and then five in the third to push the lead to 13-0. RTCA closed out the game with four more in the fourth to give them the run rule victory, 17-0. RTCA had a game on Monday of this week against Edmund Burke and closed out the regular season on Tuesday against CCA after presstime.
