VGC Cheer Keeps Improving

Cheer Vidalia of Vidalia Gymanstics & Cheer is having another solid season. The competitive cheerleaders began in October and have worked tirelessly to perfect the routine that they learned in December.

The squad is made up of several returning members as well as first year cheerleaders, and all have worked hard learning the required cheerleading techniques, stunts, dance and tumbling skills for today's competitive cheerleaders.

The squad is made up of elementary through middle school age athletes and compete in the USASF program throughout Georgia.

“This year's team is full of exciting up and coming cheerleaders from all around our area.” said Coach Madison Beverly.

Coach Maddie Adams continues, “The girls have exceeded our expectations and the goals set for them this year, and we could not be more proud.”

Gym owner Robin Nance stated, “The plan now is to make the program and training yearround for our girls. We are understanding more each year that in order to be competitive, we have to pull committed athletes and families that desire to put in the work and that requires a yearround program. We have a foundation established and are excited to see it build and grow. This year's coaches and families are so proud of what the team has accomplished.”

The squad will perform at this year's VGC's end of the year events and are planning to perform locally this fall.
