Buggs Signs With Emmanuel
On Thursday of last week Robert Toombs Christian Academy's Tyler Buggs signed his letter of intent to play basketball for Emmanuel College in Franklin Springs, GA. Buggs came to RTCA just a few years ago, but made a big impact and helped the Crusaders to two State Runners-up finishes. Buggs said, “All I wanted to do as a freshman was be able to make it to that next level, and to sign here today is just special. To know that I get to keep playing a game I love is just great. It is also going to be crazy to have MK there with me. I mean we were on the same fifth grade AAU team, and have known each other a long time. Emmanuel just didn't look at us like we were a number, they really treated us like family, and it just felt like the best place for me. I have to thank my parents who have been my number one supporter, all of my family, all of the coaches I have had, teammates, and of course God.”
Tyler's father Chris Pryor stated, “This is just a great day. We were blessed to have the opportunity to have Tyler here at Robert Toombs, and get the chance to play for two State Championships. We have just been blessed by this. He really likes the small town atmosphere at Emmanuel, he really likes the coach and I look forward to seeing him continue to grow.”
“Tyler was a very vocal player and has a very high basketball IQ. He is the type of player that you want on your team. He bought into our system and did a great job doing it. It is great for Emmanuel to get both MK and Tyler, and it is great for both of them to get to continue to play together.”
