traveling the opposite direction crossed the centerline, causing a head-on collision. The woman died of her injuries at the scene of the wreck, while the other driver was airlifted to a neighboring hospital.

The crash had a single witness who immediately checked on the victims in the wreck but was unable to render aid because of the amount of damage to the vehicles.

The accident caused the road to be closed from around 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. GSP is currently investigating the incident to determine the cause of the SUV driver’s deviation from their lane.
