Couple Indicted for Animal Cruelty
The May term of the Toombs County Grand Jury indicted a local couple on seven counts of animal cruelty. Melissa Robinson and Timmie Robinson were charged with neglecting to provide water, food, and sanitary conditions for a dog between February 20 and March 1, 2020, which led to the death of the animal. Both of the Robinsons were indicted on one count of aggravated cruelty to animals and six counts of cruelty to animals. The Grand Jury also considered 14 other cases, returning true bills for indictments in each of the cases, according to Middle Judicial Circuit District Attorney Tripp Fitzner.
Christopher Tyle Lee was indicted for the April 11, 2021, offense of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (a GMC truck).
Lee and Ryan Lamar Dean were indicted for the April 21, 2021, offense of Burglary in the First Degree and burglary in the Second Degree of a residence in Uvalda; offense of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (a Honda Rancher). Lee was also indicted for the April 21, 2021 offense of Theft By Receiving Stolen Property (a Kawasaki Brute Force). Dean was also indicted for the April 24, 2021, offense of Theft by Receiving Stolen Property (a four-wheeler).
John Brashear Cole man for the October 21, 2020, offense of Burglary in the First Degree.
Tyler Hugh Kight for the offense of Burglary in the First Degree and Burglary in the Second Degree for an offense that occurred between November 1, 2020, and December 1, 2020, in Vidalia.
Jarvis Jarriel Walton for Possession of Cocaine, for offenses occurring January 1, 2021, and February 17, 2021.
Cody Shane Williams for the May 8, 2021, offense of Theft by Taking (a chainsaw and generator).
Romeo Camilo for Aggravated Assault, Family Violence, Cruelty to Children in the First Degree, and Battery, Family Violence, for an offense that occurred June 13, 2021.
Brian James Craw ford for the June 17, 2021, offense of Robbery.
Mathew George Maltby for Aggravated Assault, Family Violence, for an offense that occurred on August 28, 2021.
William Allen Brew er, Jr., Lisa Galston and Larry Terrell Mobley for the September 14, 2021, offense of Burglary in the First Degree and Possession of Methamphetamine.
Shakeah Lanice Sims and Heather Diane Patrick were indicted for the September 19, 2021, offense of Unlawful Acts of Violence in a Penal Institution (Toombs County Detention Center). The women were charged with fighting each other at the jail while being legally confined.
Additional April Indictments The February term of the Toombs County Grand Jury reconvened April 20, 2022, to hand down the following additional indictments: Debra Carol Strick land with the August 20, 2021, offense of Cruelty to Children in the First Degree (two counts).
Tobias Ke'Vion Bell, Joshua Brown and Shamiriam Teanna Harris were indicted for the October 9, 2021, offense of Criminal Attempt to Commit a Felony. The three suspects were accused of knowingly and intentionally attempting a crime of murder that led to the shooting of Rakeem Rogers and the injury of his arm. The suspects were also indicted for the offense of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony, Aggravated Battery, and Aggravated Assault.
