mation about the death of Kirsten Davis, who was shot and killed while driving on Highway 297 in Toombs County near the Emanuel County line. Davis was a Boulder, Colorado, native who was traveling to visit a friend in Vidalia upon finishing her academic career at Berry College in Rome.
Fellow commuters on the highway discovered Davis’s 1985 blue Subaru station wagon wrecked and upside down in the ditch beside the roadway on July 3, 1991. Law enforcement was contacted, and upon responding to the scene, officers found Davis’s body near the vehicle. The death was ruled a homicide, as shotgun wounds were discovered on her face and neck.
A $10,000 reward is offered in exchange for any information that leads to an arrest in this case. Tips and information may be shared by contacting the Toombs County Sheriff’s Office or the GBI Eastman Office.
