On Thursday, the Toombs County High School cross country teams traveled to Milledgeville to compete in the GMC Bulldog Dash.

In the boy’s race, Toombs finished with a team average of 23:34, which is the best of the season, and a few of the runners hit PRs. In the girl’s race, the four runners all ran well and are getting stronger as the season continues.
Coach Jeremy Moore said, “This was a big race, with a lot of competitive teams. The weather cleared out for us, and we actually had decent weather for a meet. Our kids ran well and most of our runners are shaving time off of their races each week. We are a long way from where we ultimately want to be for the region meet, but our kids are working to get their times down to give us a chance to place well at the region meet.”
Middle School
The middle school boys and girls had a great race with several PR’s. The boy’s team took 1st place out of 23 teams. TCMS had several boys in the top 20 as well, with Juan Luna taking 1st, Dalton Kight coming in 7th, and Jeffrey Perez placing 15th out of 257 total runners.
