Harden’s Chapel Cemetery Cancels Homecoming
The 30th Annual Homecoming for Harden’s Chapel Cemetery, Inc., has been cancelled for 2022. In 1863, Homecoming began at Harden’s Chapel Methodist Church. Since 1992, The Cemetery Board of Directors planned and organized the homecoming for the church and cemetery. Our forefathers and mothers worked to preserve our heritage and to leave a legacy. Our community and those with loved ones buried in the cemetery always looked forward to the annual Homecoming on the 2nd Sunday of October. Currently, due to circumstances beyond our control, The Board of Director’s made the decision to cancel the cemetery Homecoming for 2022.
The Board of Directors must continue our mission to carry out plans for the future of the cemetery. Together we make decisions in the best interest for your family and the cemetery. The financial stability and the upkeep of the cemetery are vitally important to carry out the original plan implemented in 1992, “A Continuous Care System”.
Families who have loved ones buried in the cemetery are encouraged to visit often and care for the “inside of your family plots.” Contributions and memorials are appreciated throughout the year. You may continue to mail your contributions to the cemetery office at Harden’s Chapel Cemetery, Inc., 1830 Ga. Hwy. 135, Vidalia, GA 30474. An acknowledgement and memorial card will be mailed to you and the family to whom you make the contribution. To receive an annual report, please contact the cemetery office. Thanks for your continued prayers and support of Harden’s Chapel Cemetery, Inc., which will continue for years to come.
The Board of Directors of Harden’s Chapel Cemetery, Inc., Chartered in 1992.
