BPC Runs In Albany

The Brewton-Parker College Men’s Cross Country team returned to competition on Saturday at the 6th Annual Willie Laster Invitational in Albany, Ga. The Barons finished second out of four teams in the 8K with a total time of 2:28.55 and a team score of 46. Briley Reyes led BPC in seventh with a time of 28:49.0 followed by De-Mario Thomas in 10th with a time of 29:31.9. Jacob Hackenberry crossed the finish line with a time of 29:41.4 for 11th with Hunter Milhollin following close behind in 12th with a time of 30:09.8.
DJ Christensen finished 15th in the field with a time of 30:43.5 while Eric Smith finished 21st with a time of 32:32.3. Frankie Williams was the last Baron to earn points for BPC, finishing the race with a time of 36:29.3 for 29th in the field.
Mason Smith and Teddy Ortiz finished 30th and 31st, respectively with Jordan Hackett landing at 33rd to round out the BPC squad of runners.
The Barons’ next race is on October 22, at the 16th Annual Sand Shark Invitational in Bluffton, S.C.
