Wheeler Defeats Treutlen
The Wheeler County High School softball team picked up two wins last week. They defeated Treutlen on the road on Tuesday and then won by forfeit over Dooly County on Wednesday.

Wheeler picked up two runs in the top of the first inning to take the early lead on the Vikings. Treutlen answered back with one run in the bottom of the frame to close the lead to 2-1.
Wheeler took control with five runs in the top of the third inning to push the lead to 7-1. The Vikings plated a run in the third inning, but four more from Wheeler in the top of the fourth gave them an 11-2 lead.
The Vikings did manage to score three runs in the fourth inning to close it to 11-5. Wheeler added one in the top of the seventh inning, and the Vikings scored two more in the bottom of the final frame to make the final score 12-7.
Kyleigh Horne led Wheeler with 5 RBI's an Kayleigh Sanders hit in 3 runs in the game.
This week Wheeler is scheduled to wrap up the regular season on Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. against the Tigers of Swainsboro on the road.
