DAMAGE DOWNTOWN - As they document evidence in downtown Glenwood, the reflections of law enforcement officers are captured in the broken window of a Glenwood business. City Hall and four other structures were damaged in the incident.

The Wheeler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating widespread vandalism in downtown Glenwood that occurred in the early morning hours of October 17. Chief Deputy Richie Floyd said the WCSO was called to the city around 7:20 a.m. Monday after damage was reported to City Hall. Law enforcement discovered damage to four other buildings in the same city block Glenwood Mayor G.M. Joiner said the damage was “strictly vandalism.” He said, apparently officers found no evidence of burglary or theft.
