BPC Players Awarded

Brewton-Parker College's men and women’s soccer teams had players that were awarded at the end of the season. BPC student-athletes were recognized in the 2022 SSAC Men's and Women’s Soccer Awards released by the conference on Tuesday night.

Women

Seven Lady Barons were honored in the release with six earning academic honors.

Viviana Martinez, Yesenia Zamudio, Lara Bernal, Beata Chako, Kayla Lane, and Ashley Venegas were honored with Barnes & Noble All-Academic Team recognition while Kortnee Powers was recognized as BPC’s Champions of Character Team representative.

Men Jacob Shield earned Barnes & Noble All-Academic Team honors in addition to being recognized as the Champions of Character Team honoree for the men’s program. Shield is studying Criminal Justice and Psychology and held a 3.56 GPA at the time of submission. This honor is his second-straight academic honor.
