Montgomery County Middle School FFA Advances to State Competition

Montgomery County Middle School FFA won 2nd place in the area at the Floriculture Career Development Competition on November 29.

Team members include Kevin Medrano, Alexandre Cervantes-Rosales, Cristal Santiago-Cervantes, and Saida Carreon.

The team was coached by Advisor Nicole Smith.

The Floriculture Career Development Event tests the participant's knowledge and skills in various aspects of the industry. The team event includes the identification of plant materials and disorders, as well as problemsolving and a written exam involving the production and use of plant materials and their maintenance, related products, equipment, and services.

Wish them luck as they prepare to compete at the state competition in February 2023.
