Community Service Project Led by Litte Indians Pom Poms

The Little Indians Pom Poms of J.D. Dickerson Primary School led its first community service project to support The Refuge Domestic Violence Shelter of Vidalia and the families that were impacted by the Raymonia Apartments fire. A list of needed items was sent home with all of the students at JDD, and many students, teachers, and community members responded with much heartfelt compassion. Initially, the cause would have supported The Refuge only, but as the school saw an immediate need in the community after the recent fire at Raymonia Apartments, it wanted to find a way to provide additional help to families that were displaced. Each of the Little Indians Pom Poms' team members was asked to contribute at least one item to the cause, however, the amount of schoolwide support was phenomenal. The faculty and staff of J.D. Dickerson Primary School and the Little Indians Pom Poms would like to thank all of the donors that contributed to this drive.
