RTCA ELEMENTARY CHRISTMAS PROGRAM — Robert Toombs Christian Academy held its annual Christmas program on Tuesday, December 13, in the RTCA gymnasium. Elementary students in grades Kindergarten through Fifth retold the story of 'The First Christmas' through readings, songs, and a live Nativity scene. At the conclusion of the program, students performed two songs using instruments that they have been learning to play in music class. CADILLAC DRIVE RESCUE – Several local first responders and emergency agencies worked together to rescue and evacuate residents within the Cadillac Drive neighborhood in Vidalia.
A CARING COMMUNITY – Lyons Police Chief Wesley Walker (right) told the Lyons City Council that the Community Care Line was established because of law enforcement officials’ concern about the wellbeing of their community. HEAVY TURNOUT - Wheeler County Superintendent of Elections Karen Mercer looks over paperwork at her office in Alamo. Wheeler County turned out in force to support Donald J. Trump’s bid to return to the White House. This year’s voting was just 11 votes shy of the 2020 presidential election turnout which was conducted during the COVID-19 epidemic and heavy on absentee ballots.
GIVING THANKS – The Toombs County School System decorated a vehicle full of gift bags to give out to parents picking up their children in the car rider lines at each school during the month of November.

These students are recognized for setting the standard of excellence for grades, attendance, and citizenship.
