RTCA Splits Two Series
The Crusaders basketball teams of Robert Toombs Christian Academy split with Windsor Academy and Memorial Day last week. The Lady Crusaders won both of their games, while the boys fell in both, one of those in overtime.
Girls vs. Windsor
It was an easy win for the Lady Crusaders over the Lady Knights. RTCA jumped out to a 23-7 lead in the first quarter and pushed that to 34-13 by halftime.

quarter RTCA only posted 6 more points, but they took the win, 55-28.
Boys vs. Windsor
It was a comeback for the Crusaders as they forced overtime against the Knights, but could not pull out the win. The game was tied at 10-10 at the end of the first quarter, but Windsor went on a run in the second to take a 38-27 lead at halftime.
In the third quarter the Crusaders began to make a comeback as they outscored Windsor 20-12. That closed the lead to 5047. In the fourth quarter RTCA did just enough to force overtime as regulation ended with the game tied at 72-72.
In overtime Windsor edged out RTCA and took the win, 81-76. vs. Memorial
RTCA hosted Memorial on Friday night and split with the Matadors. The Lady Crusaders won in dominant fashion. They took the game 50-18. That improves their record to 9-14 on the year, but they are now 4-0 in Region play.
The boys lost in their matchup with Memorial. The Matadors took the win, 63-41. The RTCA boys are now 11-11 on the season and are 2-3 in Region play.
This week the boys hosted First Preparatory Christian Academy on Tuesday night after presstime. They will both be back in action on Friday at home against John Milledge at 6:00 p.m.
