Adams To Apprentice School
On Friday of last week Stacy Adams of Treutlen County High School signed his letter of intent to play football for the Builders of the Apprentice School in Newport News, VA.
Head Coach Steve Versprille said, “He has had his eye on this school for a while. He wasn’t looking for the traditional college route, and this will let him learn a trade over four years and then he can go four more to become a master welder if he desires. He will get the chance to build ships and subs all why he is there, working, and learning, and getting to play football. This couldn’t happen to a better young man.”
Adams stated, “The coach there really made me feel welcome and he wants his team to be like a family and that really stuck out to me. This is just a great opportunity for me to get to go to school and play football, and to set myself up for the future. I have to thank Jesus Christ, my parents, my friends and teammates, my coaches, and everyone that has supported me.”
His mother Sierra Jones added, “I am just so proud of him and for this opportunity he has.”
