Two Toombs County High School (TCHS) students are representing the school’s Audio, Video Technology, & Film pathway, as they compete at a state level competition next month. This opportunity is a result of the success of the technology program, which continues to grow at the school.

This pathway is providing students with exciting opportunities to explore their creativity and gain hands-on experience in the field. With a range of career options available in this industry, students are being equipped with the necessary skills to excel in this growing field.

Students who study Audio, Video Technology, & Film at Toombs County High School can prepare for a variety of careers in the entertainment industry. Some of the careers that students can pursue after completing the program include Film and Video Editor, Camera Operator, Sound Engineer, Production Assistant, Video Producer, Film Director, Cinematographer, Lighting Technician, Special Effects Technician, and Broadcast Engineer.

These careers can be found in a range of industries, including film and television production, advertising and marketing, corporate communications, and more. The Audio, Video Technology, & Film pathway at Toombs County High School prepares students for a variety of roles in these industries, by providing hands-on experience with state-of-the-art equipment and technology, as well as the opportunity to work on real-world projects, such as 'The Morning Show' and the Video Production competitions.

“The Morning Show' is a class project for students enrolled in the Audio, Video Technology, & Film pathway at Toombs County High School. This twiceweekly morning announcements show is released on the Toombs County Schools YouTube channel on Tuesdays and Thursdays, providing students with a platform to showcase their skills in video production and broadcasting. Since its inception, 'The Morning Show' has become a popular project among students, teachers, and parents due to its informative and engaging content.

TCHS students Sydney Smith and Victoria Harmon have advanced to the state level in FBLA Video Production after finishing first at their region competition. This achievement speaks to the high level of training that the Audio, Video Technology, & Film pathway at Toombs County High School provides. These talented students are now poised to take their skills to the next level and compete with the best in the state at next month’s FBLA State Convention in Athens. In addition to the success of Smith and Harmon, the Toombs County High School TSA Video Production Team is set to compete at the state level next month at their own convention. This team of dedicated students has been working tirelessly to perfect their craft and bring their A-game to the competition for several weeks.

The Audio, Video Technology, & Film pathway at Toombs County High School is preparing students for a range of career opportunities in this exciting and growing industry. From video production to broadcasting and filmmaking, the skills and experiences gained in this program are invaluable. With the success of 'The Morning Show,' Smith and Harmon, and the TSA Video Production Team, it is clear that the Audio, Video Technology, & Film pathway at Toombs County High School is making a positive impact on the lives of its students and the wider community.
