RTCA’S LEO CLUB COLLECTS DRESSES — Robert Toombs Christian Academy's Leo Club collected gently used formal dresses during the months of February and March for Baxley Church of God's upcoming event, Chance to Dance, on March 26. The club collected over 75 dresses from donations received from members of the community and from RTCA students. Overall, Chance to Dance has collected around 100 dresses for their cause. CADILLAC DRIVE RESCUE – Several local first responders and emergency agencies worked together to rescue and evacuate residents within the Cadillac Drive neighborhood in Vidalia.
A CARING COMMUNITY – Lyons Police Chief Wesley Walker (right) told the Lyons City Council that the Community Care Line was established because of law enforcement officials’ concern about the wellbeing of their community. HEAVY TURNOUT - Wheeler County Superintendent of Elections Karen Mercer looks over paperwork at her office in Alamo. Wheeler County turned out in force to support Donald J. Trump’s bid to return to the White House. This year’s voting was just 11 votes shy of the 2020 presidential election turnout which was conducted during the COVID-19 epidemic and heavy on absentee ballots.
GIVING THANKS – The Toombs County School System decorated a vehicle full of gift bags to give out to parents picking up their children in the car rider lines at each school during the month of November.
