Wheeler Sweeps Dooly

The Wheeler County High School baseball team is on a run, winning nine of their last 10 games. They are now 12-5 on the season and are 8-1 in Region play.

Over the past couple of weeks they have won 2-3 from Hawkinsville, beat Treutlen, and Johnson County, and last week they swept Dooly County. Wheeler outscored Dooly 52-1 in the three-game series.

Wheeler won the first game 21-0, then took the second game 16-1. They wrapped up the week with a 15-0 win on Friday. This week Wheeler plays a three-game Region series against Telfair County. They played on Tuesday at home after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in McRae, and then on Friday back in Alamo at 6:00 p.m.
