Soap Box Looking For Drivers

The Southeast Georgia Soap Box Derby is just around the corner and they are still looking for drivers.

The event will kick off on Friday morning, April 28. At 9:00 a.m. the SuperKids will take to Derby Hill at Partin Park. The race is built for physically and mentally challenged children and they will ride in a tandem car with an experienced driver at the helm. That race will be followed that evening at 7:00 p.m. with the Run What You Brung race. This race is a wild one with homemade cars of all kinds. Grab you spare lawnmower parts, recliners, or a bath tub, and create your own gravity powered contraption to race down Derby Hill.

The weekend will culminate with the Soap Box Derby, beginning Saturday morning at 8:00 a.m. They are still looking for drivers for cars. They will again have three races with the Stock, Super Stock, and Masters model cars.
