RTCA Falls To Brentwood

The Robert Toombs Christian Academy baseball team took on Brentwood Academy last week. The game went to extra innings before a winner was decided, with the Crusaders falling in the contest.

RTCA got on the board first with a run in the bottom of the second inning to lead, 1-0. Brentwood answered in the top of the third inning with a run to tie it up at 1-1.

RTCA added a run in the bottom of the fourth inning to go back on top, 2-1. Brentwood tied the game at 2-2 in the top of the sixth inning. RTCA couldn't put anything together in the sixth or seventh sending the game to extra innings. In the top of the eighth inning Brentwood plated two runs to jump out to a 4-2 lead over the Crusaders. RTCA was held in the bottom of the eighth as they fell 4-2.

This week RTCA hosted First Preparatory Christian Academy on Monday and Vidalia Heritage Academy on Tuesday, both after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at home against Frederica Academy at 4:00 p.m., and then on Friday at home against Edmund Burke Academy at 4:30 p.m.
