Treutlen Takes 2 From Devils

The Treutlen High School Vikings baseball team took on Hawkinsville in a three-game series last week. The Vikings took 2-3 games as they currently sit in third place in the Region.

In the first game of the series, in Soperton on Tuesday, Hawkinsville's Red Devils picked up their only win of the week. They outlasted the Vikings, taking the game 1210.

The two teams then played a double header on Friday in Hawkinsville. Treutlen came out on top in the first game of the day. They won, 6-3, over the Devils. Treutlen also won the second game of the double header. The Vikings won that game 6-5.

Treutlen is now 8-14 on the year and are 7-8 in Region play. Treutlen is sitting at #3 in the Region behind Wilcox County and Wheeler County. This week the Vikings take on Montgomery County on Wednesday in Mt. Vernon at 5:30 p.m., and then wrap up the regular season on Thursday against Vidalia Heritage Academy in Soperton at 6:00 p.m.
