Heritage Wins Big Over Trinity
The Eagles football team of Vidalia Heritage Academy rolled to a big win over Trinity Christian School in Griffin last Friday night. The Eagles shutout the Lions for a big Region win.
VHA put the first points on the board just three minutes into the game on a rushing touchdown. They tacked on the two-point conversion to take an 8-0 lead.
Heritage added to that lead on a pass completion for a touchdown with less than one minute to play in the first quarter of the game. They failed on the two-point try, but were on top 14-0.
In the second quarter the Eagles scored a rushing touchdown with 11 minutes still on the clock, and then added another touchown less than three minutes later to push their lead to 28-0 after the twopoint conversion.
The Eagles scored one more time before the end of the first half to take a commanding, 36-0, lead into halftime.
Heritage scored one more time in the game as they ran one in late in the third quarter. They added the two-point conversion to go ahead 44-0.
With a running clock in the second half Heritage got the shutout, and went to 1-0 in Region play and 2-0 on the season. The Eagles are off this week and will be back in action next week at home against Covenant Academy.
