Pierce Wins Over Indians
It was a tough loss for the Vidalia High School Indians as they traveled to Blackshear to take on the the #3 ranked Bears of Pierce County. Vidalia scored just one touchdown in the game as the Bears took a 35-7 win over the Indians.
VHS is now 5-4 on the year, and they are 3-2 in Region play. They will wrap up the regular season this week at home against #4 ranked Toombs County with kickoff at 7:30 p.m.
Against the Bears, the Indians scored their only touchdown of the game in the first half, but by halftime they were down 21-7 to Pierce.
Pierce scored two more times in the fourth quarter of the game, the first on a passing touchdown with six minutes to play, and the second on a run with about three minutes left in the game. That pushed their lead to 35-7 over VHS.
