The Montgomery County High School Eagles football team traveled to ECI last Friday for their final game of the season. The Bulldogs of ECI had already clinched the #3 seed in the playoffs, and they used their dominant rushing attack on Senior Night to defeat the visiting Eagles 42-6. The Bulldogs had 439 total yards offense on the night, with 367 yards coming on the ground.

The Bulldogs didn't waste any time taking the opening drive of the game down the field for a touchdown. ECI scored a touchdown on each of their possessions in the first half and took a 28-0 lead into halftime.

The only scoring drive of the night for the Eagles came on first drive of the second half when Freshman Quarterback Joseph Owens hit Jamun Coglin for a 75-yard touchdown pass. The PAT failed, and the score was cut to 28-6. However, the Bulldogs didn't allow the visitors to get into the endzone the remainder of the game and finished the night with a 42-6 victory. The Eagles moved the ball through the air for most of their yards on the night, Joseph Owens completed 10 passes on 20 attempts for 137 yards passing and one touchdown.
