Woman Airlifted After Hit & Run

A Vidalia woman was airlifted to the Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah after sustaining serious injuries in a hit-and-run incident on Tuesday, October 31.
At 9:27 p.m. on Halloween night, the Vidalia Police Department was dispatched to the 2100 block of Teston Lane in reference to a hit-and-run crash involving a pedestrian. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Nina Smith, 53, who was immediately transported by ambulance to the Air Evac Lifeteam 91 – Vidalia Headquarters before being flown out to receive further medical treatment.
The crash scene was turned over to the Georgia State Patrol Post 18 – Reidsville, which is still currently investigating the incident.
