Members of the Vidalia High School Class of 1973 attended a class reunion the weekend of November 4 to mark their 50th anniversary. Approximately 30 classmates gathered on Friday night at the Treehouse for a social, and Saturday night the group attended a dinner and dance at Nine Columns in downtown Lyons. The original 'Poker Alice Band,' which included some members of the class of '73, provided musical entertainment Saturday evening.

Those in attendance took a few moments to recognize and remember classmates that are deceased, including Ricky Williamson, Ray Creech, John Fleming, Terry Fletcher, Susan Ford, Susan Parker, Patrick Pickle, Billy Shuman, Charlene Stringer, John Dorough, Earl Evritt, Johnny Mitchum, Susan Carroll, Dennis Cloud, Melinda Stanford, Sherry Cummings, Beverly Jackson, Thomas Harbin, Elaine Paradise, Gail Kennedy, Jeff Anderson, Donnie Soles and Janet Jackson.
