Brewton-Parker College Esports competed in ECAC postseason play for the last few weeks and had two programs competing for a League Championship.
Rocket League
The Premier Team (Shane Watson, Xavier Morales, and Manuel Ramos) came into the postseason as the No. 1 overall seed with a perfect 7-0 record in the regular season.
BPC started its postseason run with a 4-0 sweep of Sacred Heart (Conn.). The team won game one 3-0, followed up with a 5-1 win in game two and a 3-0 win in game three. BPC gathered a 3-2 win to close out the sweep in game four.
In the Semifinals, Brewton-Parker defeated Weber State (Utah) 4-1. BPC took down game one 4-1, before falling in game two 2-1. The Barons bounced back to produce a 3-0 win in game three and a 6-0 win in game four, before finishing the match with a 5-2 win in game five.
The Premier Team competed for an ECAC Championship against Concord (W. Va.). The Barons started off strong with a 3-1 win in game one, before falling 3-2 in game two. After producing a 2-1 win in game three, BPC dropped the next three games (3-1 in game four, 3-2 in game five, and 4-0 in game six) to lose the match 4-2.
Brewton-Parker concluded the fall season as the ECAC Championship Runner Up.
Madden
Brandon Ferraro produced a 7-1 record at the end of the regular season and was given the No. 3 seed in postseason play.
Ferraro opened his tournament with a match against Mount St. Joseph (Ohio), taking game one 31-28 and game two 21-0 for a 2-0 win. Continuing the dominant performance, Ferraro also gathered a 2-0 win over Clark (Mass.) in the Round of 16 by winning game one 48-14 and game two 297.
In the Quarterfinals, Ferraro faced Southern Arkansas and produced another 2-0 sweep, taking game one 23-16 and game two 40-35.
Moving on to the Semis, Ferraro faced another member of the Mount St. Joseph team. Ferraro took the match down in a 3-0 sweep, winning game one 24-21 and game two 41-29, before punching his ticket to the Championship with a 28-14 win in game three.
For the ECAC Madden Championship, Ferraro took on Southern Maine. After dropping game one 21-17, Ferraro came back to produce a 17-10 win in game two. Unfortunately, Ferraro fell in game three 28-21, and 35-7 in game four to take a 3-1 loss to earn Runner Up status.
