Good Week For Crusaders

The Crusaders basketball teams of Robert Toombs Christian Academy were busy last week. The boys hosted First Presbyterian Christian Academy on Tuesday of last week, and then RTCA played Thomas Jefferson at home on Thursday and were at Twiggs Academy on Friday. The only loss of the week came to FPCA.

Boys vs. FPCA

FPCA had a big fourth quarter in which they pulled away late from RTCA to take the win over the Crusaders. The game was close through the first three quarters, but 24 points from FPCA in the fourth gave them a 68-58 win over RTCA. vs. TJ

It was a low scoring game, but RTCA came away with the win over the Lady Jaguars of Thomas Jefferson. RTCA took the win 38-26.

In the boys game, RTCA took the win in a close game. RTCA came out on top 50-43 over the Jaguars.

Girls vs. Twiggs

The RTCA girls rolled to a win over the Lady Trojans of Twiggs Academy on Friday of last week. RTCA took the win, 57-32, in the Region matchup.

Boys vs. Twiggs

RTCA had no problems with Twiggs on the road on Friday. RTCA jumped out to a 25-3 lead in the first quarter of the game and they extended that lead to 48-6 by halftime.

In the second half of the game, RTCA had all the subs in. Twiggs made a run in the third quarter as they closed the lead to 5322, but RTCA went on to win the game 56-34.

This week RTCA was at Pinewood Christian on Tuesday after presstime. They will be back in action on Thursday at John Hancock at 6:00 p.m. and then will host Memorial Day on Friday at 6:00 p.m.
