Treutlen Splits With MCHS
The Treutlen County High School basketball teams were at Montgomery County on Saturday of last week to wrap up the regular season. The Lady Vikings dropped their game to the Lady Eagles, but the boys rolled over MCHS.
Girls vs. MCHS
In the girls game, the Lady Eagles jumped out to a 14-4 lead in the first quarter, and extended that to 29-12 by the end of the first half.
In the third, MCHS added to their lead and were on top 49-22 heading to the fourth. MCHS took the win in the girls' contest, 65-23.
Boys vs. MCHS
The boys came out and ran all over the Eagles. Treutlen took the win over MCHS 102-67.
The Lady Vikings finished the season with a 1410 record and were 7-3 in Region play. The boys are 18-6 overall and are also 7-3 in the Region.
This week the Vikings will play in the Region Tournament at Wheeler County High School. The girls will play on Friday at 4:00 p.m. and the boys will play on Friday at 5:30 p.m. Their opponents are yet to be determined.
