BPC’s Robinson At Nationals

Brewton-Parker College's Women’s Wrestling student-athlete James Robinson represented the Lady Barons in Jamestown, N.D., for the NAIA Women’s Wrestling National Championships.
Robinson fell 0-2 on the day to end her postseason run. In the opening round of the tournament, Robinson faced No. 2-seeded Avery Ashley from Oklahoma City. In the match, Robinson took a 10-0 technical superiority loss. Robinson then faced Irma Retano from Eastern Oregon in the second match of the day. Robinson started the match with a takedown and an extra point for a 3-0 lead at the end of the first period.
In the second period, Robinson gave up a pair of takedowns and a few back points to fall behind 6-3 with 39 seconds left. Robinson picked up one last take down, but ultimately lost in a 6-5 decision to end her postseason campaign.
