Double Homicide In Vidalia

Two people are dead after a shooting in Vidalia on the afternoon of Saturday, March 16.

The Vidalia Police Department responded to a report of shots fired near the intersection of East Jenkins and Epstein Street at 5:02 p.m. Saturday. When they arrived, they found that Justin Godfrey, 23, and Iesha Wicker, 18, both of Soperton, had been shot. The pair was driven to the hospital by others at the scene, and eventually both died from their injuries.
