TCHS Soccer Playing Well
The Toombs County High School soccer teams took on the Herons of Brantley County and the Panthers of Savannah Arts last week. The Lady Bulldogs split their games, and the boys won both contest.
Girls vs. Brantley
In the girls' contest on Tuesday of last week in Nahunta, the Lady Bulldogs cruised to a 4-1 win over the Lady Herons.
TCHS was led by Maritza Zamorano, who scored two goals in the game. Josseline Zamorano and Emman Wright each added one goals for Toombs. Madison Cruz picked up six saves in goal to keep the Herons to just one goal.
Boys vs. Brantley
In the boys' game against the Herons last week, the Bulldogs got off to a fast start as they posted four goals in the first half of the match. They tacked on two more in the second half on the way to a 6-0 win.
Braylen Dietrich and Yovanny Zamorano each scored two goals for Toombs with Zamorano adding an assist. Angel Morales and Jose Leon each posted one goal in the match.

The Toombs County bulldogs’ soccer teams hosted Savannah Arts on Thursday night in a doubleheader.

Boys vs. Savannah
The Toombs County boys’ soccer team (12-2 overall, 10-2 region) continued their impressive run with a dominant 3-0 victory over Savannah Arts. They secured their 8th clean sheet of the season, showcasing their defensive prowess.
Braylen Dietrich got the Toombs County offense rolling with a goal in the first half. An own goal by Savannah Arts further extended the lead for the Bulldogs. Jose Leon added another goal in the second half, solidifying the win for Toombs County.
The Bulldogs were back in action on Tuesday night after presstime, traveling to Vidalia for crucial region matchups. On Thursday, Toombs will play at Appling County with the first game starting at 5:00 p. m.
