VHS Tennis Preps For Tourney

The Vidalia High School tennis teams wrapped up the regular season on Monday of last week as the boys' and girls' tennis teams completed their matches with Pierce after rain had stopped play on March 13.

All remaining matches went Peirce’s way giving the boys their 3rd Region loss of the season and landing them in 4th place for the Region Tournament. The girls’ loss put the Lady Indians in 6th place in the Region Tournament. The teams must wait for all Region matches to be completed before all opponents will be named for the first round of the tournament.

Next up for both teams will be the Region 3AA Tournament. The Vidalia Boys will enter the tournament as the #4 seed and host the #5 seed, which at this point is Savannah Arts.

The girls will begin tournament play on the road as the 6th seed and will face the 3rd seed, which has yet to be determined.

The dates and times of the girls’ and boys’ matches had yet to be set as of presstime.
