Mrs. Piccola Wooten

Mrs. Piccola B. Wooten, age 97, died on March

9, 2024. Mrs. Wooten was a native of Montgomery County. She received her public education in Montgomery County and was later certified as an LPN, serving in various health care facilities for many years before her retirement. She was a member of Allen Chapel A.M.E. Church at an early age and later became a member of St. Paul A.M.E. Church in Vidalia. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Lewis and Florence Bell; her husband, Jack Wooten; 1 son, Austin J. Jones, Jr.; 6 sisters; and 5 brothers.

Survivors include 1 daughter, Etta O. Martin, Anniston, AL; 1 son, William Arnold Bell, Chicago, IL; 5 grandchildren, Kevin Dixon, Austin Jones III (Shannon), Kwane Young, Brian Martin, and Demitrick Martin (Mohammed); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
