VHS Soccer Has Rough Week
The Vidalia High School soccer teams fell last week to Toombs County and Savannah Arts as they wrapped up Region play. The Lady Indians finished the regular season with a record of 7-8 and 6-8 in Region play, while the boys are 6-9 overall, and 5-9 in the Region.
Girls vs. Toombs
The Lady Indians had the lead in the first half of the contest with a goal from Mary Hadden. But in the second half Toombs picked up a goal to tie the game and send it to overtime. In the overtime period, Toombs found the net to take the lead, and take the win, 2-1.
Boys vs. Toombs
Toombs held a 3-1 lead at the end of the first half over the Indians. VHS was not able to score any more in the second half, but TCHS added two more goals as they took the win, 5-1.
Girls vs. Savannah
It was a tough game for the Lady Indians as they fell behind 9-0 in the first half of the game. Savannah scored another goal in the second half as they won the game by the mercy rule, 10-0.
Boys vs. Savannah
The VHS boys played well against Savannah, but came up short. Savannah took the win over the Indians, 3-1.
VHS is off this week, and they will play next Tuesday at home against Lanier County, and then will play on Friday at home against Southeast Bulloch with both contests starting at 5:00 p.m.
