Vidalia Gymnastics Competes In Savannah

In March, 35 members of Team Vidalia, the competitive gymnastics team of Vidalia Gymnastics and Cheer traveled to Savannah to compete in one of the largest competitions in the US. The Courtney Kupets PINK Invitational is held at the Savannah Convention Center and includes over 2,000 gymnasts from throughout the country.
This year's Team Vidalia is made up of the following competitive gymnasts (with All-Around score listed): Excel Platinum/Pink: Lynzie Dasher (35.60); Excel Gold/Pink: Annalee Belew (36.025), Anzley Copeland (35.275), Calleigh Bell (35.575), EmmaKate Lindsey (35.40), Jacey Owen (33.425), Maycee Guin (34.475), and Teagan Allen (37.25); Level Three/ Blue: Adley Hall (35.975), Bailey Brown (35.375), Braylin Cox (35.35), Brooke Owens (34.375), Hadley Hobbs (33.05), HeidiGrace Miles (34.275), Kennedy McInt r yre (34.475), Mack Lewis (35.50), and Piper Lockley (33.45); Level Two/ Purple: Arianna Perry (35.20), Blythe Kirby (35.525), Delaney Morris (35.85), Ella Bell (34.20), MaeKayla Williams (35.50), Nataleigh Chambers (36.175), Olivia Milligan (36.75), Raylee Weinberg (35.425), and Savannah Alvarez (37.70); and Level One/Yellow: AnnaKate Maldonado (35.975), Brecklyn Bridges (35.425), Bri Pech (34.90), Emrie Carson Smith (35.025), Kelsea Carroll (36.675), Kylee Rodriguez (35.225), Kynslie Fitzgerald (35.85), Malani Coronel (34.0), and Sydney Nicole Black ( 36.80).
Each Team Vidalia member trains year round, two to four days a week and competes in up to five competitions throughout the Spring/ Summer session throughout the southeast United States. Competitive gymnasts perform on four events, Vault, Uneven Bars, Balance Beam and Floor Exercise where they receive a score (up to 10.0), those scores total their All-Around Score.
Gymnasts compete in levels 1-10 and receive medals for each of the four events and one for All Around. The top three scores on each of the four events are totaled for the Team Score and placement. At this year's Kupets PINK Invitational, the girls of Team Vidalia brought home a First Place Team Title in Level One, Level Two earned 2nd Place, and Level Three finished 3rd. Coaches Hannah Wiggins and Hayden Williamson said, “We are so very proud of how our girls performed and represent Vidalia today. Gymnastics is a demanding sport and they work hard, so it’s rewarding when they can see it pay off.”
The girls of Team Vidalia will now prepare for the State Championship in Roswell, Georgia, in April.
