Warner Music Nashville recording artist Avery Anna will be replacing previously scheduled performer Austin Snell at the annual Vidalia Onion Festival Concert on Friday, April 26, as Snell has cancelled his performance due to health concerns.

According to the Vidalia Onion Festival Committee, Austin Snell recently informed the committee that he had a medical issue arise that needs immediate attention, and therefore, cannot perform several previously scheduled shows. “I’ve been battling a health issue for over a year that needs to be addressed medically,” he explained. “Unfortunately, I have to temporarily suspend my performances for the next couple of weeks to have surgery. It’s a major bummer, but I’m hoping for a quick recovery and to see you all again out on the road soon.”

Festival Entertainment Chairman Tim Jones said upon learning this information, he worked quickly to find an artist to fill the vacancy. “We are pleased to announce that Avery Anna will be in the lineup,” he shared.

Known for her expressive lyrics, Avery Anna’s music is often described as “[speaking] to sad girls and sad boys.” She began her career in an acoustic setting, as she documented herself singing in a clawfoot bathtub. Since then, the 20 year old has become known for her dynamic, piano-forward sound that has entertained crowds across the country.

Avery’s debut EP “Mood Swings” took the world by storm, as the seven songs garnered over 300 million streams. Her viral hit, “Narcissist,” has become popular by pop and country music fans alike, as she performed the hit at the 2023 CMT Music Awards and the song is often rotated among today’s biggest hits on Sirius XM Hits1. She recently released new music, such as her empowerment anthem, “Self Love,” duet with Dylan Marlowe “I Will (When You Do),” and breakup ballad “Two Sides of the Story.”

Alongside Avery, artist RVSHVD will also take the stage, as the pair excites the crowd in preparation for concert headliner Lauren Alaina.

Tickets for the concert are still available both online and at the Vidalia Onion Museum, located at 100 Vidalia Sweet Onion Drive in Vidalia. For more information on the event, visit the Vidalia Onion Festival website.
