Dasher Qualifies for Internationals

Members of the Vidalia High School Chapter of HOSA – Future Health Professionals recently attended and competed at the annual HOSA State Conference, where Jordan Dasher qualified for the International Competition in Houston, Texas.
Dasher competed in HOSA Happenings, which focuses on the knowledge of the HOSA chapter and ability to communicate about the organization and its events. After two rounds of competition, it was announced that Dasher would advance to the International level, which will be held in Houston this upcoming June.
Ava NeeSmith also excelled in her event, Pharmacy Science, as she ultimately took home 7th Place.
A total of 21 students attended the Conference, and competed in 12 different events. Of these students, four moved on to the second round of competition.
The school issued a statement regarding the event, which read, “We are so proud of all of our students. We are excited for Jordan to compete at the International level this June in Houston, Texas!”
MANDALAY MAYDAY – The old Mandalay Motel, located along U.S. Hwy 1 in Lyons, caught fire during the night on Saturday, April 13.
