Tales From the Altamaha

Tickets are on sale now for the annual Tales From the Altamaha folk play, which will be held from April 25-27, and may be purchased online on the Lyons Main Street website, or at the Lyons Main Street Association office, located at 124 NW Broad Street. For more information, call (912) 526-6445.

Street Dance

The Vidalia Onion Festival Street Dance will open its gates at the Ronnie A. Dixon City Park at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, and the Platinum Band will hit the stage at 6 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dark.

Admission is $5 per person; children ages 5 and under are free.

Onion Run

The Vidalia Onion Run will hit the streets at 7 a.m. on Saturday, as the half marathon kicks off the event. The 5K race will begin at 7:15 a.m., and the one mile fun run will follow at 8 a.m.

Awards are scheduled for 8:30 a.m.

Arts & Crafts

Festival

The Vidalia Onion Festival Arts & Crafts Festival will be open on Saturday, from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m., and Sunday, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., on Airport Road.

Admission is $5 each, and children under age 13 are free.
