The following is a prepared statement from Coach Korn: 'Following a discussion with the leadership at Vidalia High School, I have been asked to step down as the continued from page
Head Coach of the Vidalia Baseball program. While I disagree with this decision, I respect the perspective of Principal Bruce Mulkey and Athletic Director Tommy Dalley, who believe it is time to steer the program in a new direction, one that I hope will continue to bring success to the program.
'I appreciate John Sharpe and the Vidalia Board of Education for giving me the opportunity eight years ago to be the head coach of the Vidalia Baseball program. 'While my role may be changing, my commitment to the Vidalia City School System remains steadfast. I am honored to continue supporting Coach Ben Beck and the Softball program as an assistant coach, contributing to the development of our student- athletes.
'To the Vidalia Indian Nation and the Vidalia Community, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support. Your enthusiasm and dedication have been instrumental in our achievements. I am confident that you will continue to rally behind the program, ensuring its bright future.'
