State Champions For Team Vidalia

The 2024 aau Georgia Gymnastics State Championship was held this past weekend in Atlanta, and over 1,100 gymnasts and 75 teams from throughout the state gathered to compete for a State Gymnastics Title. Gymnasts state-wide train year-round and compete at invitationals from August to April in hopes of qualifying and being invited to the event. The gymnasts of Team Vidalia of Vidalia Gymnastics & Cheer qualified 35 team members to compete on vault, bars, beam, floor and allaround and four levels that would compete in the team division.
Gymnasts qualifying to compete included: Excel Platinum/Pink: Lynzie Dasher; Excel Gold/ Pink: Annalee Belew, Anzley Copeland, Calleigh Bell, Emmakate Lindsey, Jacey Owen, Maycee Guin & Teagan Allen; Level Three/Blue: Adley Hall, Bailey Brown, Braylin Cox, Brooke Owens, Hadley Hobbs, Heidigrace Miles, Kennedy Mcintryre, Mack Lewis & Piper Lockley; Level Two/Purple: Arianna Perry, Blythe Kirby, Delaney Morris, Ella Bell, Maekayla Williams, Nataleigh Chambers, Olivia Milligan, Raylee Weinberg & Savannah Alvarez; And Level One/Yellow: Annakate Maldonado, Brecklyn Bridges, Bri Pech, Emrie Carson Smith, Kelsea Carroll, Kylee Rodriguez, Kynslie Fitzgerald, Malani Coronel & Sydney Nicole Black.
The four levels that competed in the Team Division were: Level One, Level Two, Level Three and Excel Gold. The top three scores posted on each of the four events are totaled for the teams final score. When the event finished up late Sunday night and the scores were tallied, Team Vidalia’s Level One (Yellow) finished as State Runner Ups and Level Two (Purple) and Level Three (Blue) brought home the First Place State Champion Team Titles.
In addition to Team Titles, Team Vidalia brought home seven Individual State Champions Gold Medalist Titles: Level One – Sydney Nicole Black on Bars with a score of 9.65; Level One – Bri Pech All-Around with a score of 36.85; Level Two – Savannah Alvarez on Bars with a 9.75; Level Two – Olivia Milligan on Beam with a score of 9.45; Level Three Braylin Cox on Beam with a 9.10 and All-Around with a score of 36.60; and Excel Gold Anzley Copeland on Floor with a score of 9.20.
Twenty-Nine Team Vidalia gymnasts will now prepare to compete in the next couple weeks at AAU Southern Regionals.
