Sweet Onion Showdown Storms Into Ag Center
The rodeo was back in full force for the Vidalia Onion Festival. The 3rd Annual Sweet Onion Showdown was held at the Toombs County Ag Center on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, and was again a big success. The event had been so successful over the past two years that they added a third night this year. The stands were packed as the competitors took to the arena for barrel races, bull riding, bronc riding, and more.
Over the past two years people were having to be turned away because the arena was at full capacity. With the third night, the event went smoother and everyone was able to get into the show.
Fans donned their best boots and stetsons for the rodeo. The Elite Bullriders Association put on the show and made it fun for all fans in attendance.
Many local riders were out competing and some even got in the money as they placed in the top of their events. There was also fun by all in attendance with several members of the crowd getting into the area to compete in some fun games.
This is a great event for Onion Festival goers of all ages, so make sure not to miss it at future festivals.
