The Montgomery County High School track & field teams competed at the GHSA State Meet last week in Commerce. The Lady Eagles brought home a State Runner-up finish with Marley Bell leading the way with four individual State Championships and the High Point Trophy.

Girls

Marley Bell brought home four more State Championships to bring her career high school total to 12. Bell won the 100m hurdles in a time of 14.90, the 300m hurdles in a time of 45.86, the high jump with a jump of 5'4”, and the triple jump with a leap of 36'. That earned her the High Point award for the State Meet.

Makaliah Moore brought home a State Runner- up in the discus with a throw of 100'9”. That throw was also good enough for a new school record. Zoe Jordan was 7th in the long jump with a jump of 15'10”. And Zaire Nobles took 9th in the shot put with a throw of 30'9.5” Boys

Jakobe Mobley is the State Champion in the high jump with a jump of 6'4”. Darius Wells is the State Runner-up in discus with a throw of 145'10”. Da'lan Fields came in 4th place in the 300m hurdles with a time of 40.78. and Jordyn Patterson took 7th place in the 400m dash with a time of 51.63.

The MCHS 4x200m relay team of Jordyn Patterson, JaKobe Mobley, Jaquez Kelly, and Da’lan Fields took 5th place in 1:31.98. The 4x800m relay team was 11th with a time of 9:34.65.
