Aidan Barton was recently awarded the Emanuel Stovall Scholarship at the Toombs County High School senior honors night program.
The scholarship honors Mr. Emanuel J. Stovall, who was a 2009 graduate of Toombs County High School and an exemplary Technology Education student and member of the Technology Student Association (TSA). He served as a state officer in Georgia TSA and received a degree in Interior Design at Georgia Southern University despite dealing with serious health issues.
Each year the scholarship is awarded to the TCHS student who best demonstrates achievement in the Engineering Pathway and participation in the Toombs County Technology Student Association chapter.
Aidan has been a member of the TCHS TSA chapter for three years and has competed in numerous events on the state and local levels as well as serving as a chapter officer. Aidan plans to attend Georgia Tech to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering.
