Norton New AD At Heritage

Vidalia Heritage Academy is pleased to announce that in June 2024, Josh Norton will begin as VHA’s new Athletic Director, and serve as the Head Varsity Baseball and Football Coach. Norton comes from Real Life Christian Academy in Clermont, Florida, where he has served since 2014.

During his tenure at Real Life, he served as the Head Varsity Baseball, Football, and Soccer Coach. He has also served as Real Life’s Assistant Athletic Director for the past four years. In addition, Norton teaches AP World History and US History. Prior to joining the staff at Real Life, Norton was the Lead Recruiting Coordinator and Hitting Instructor for Southeastern University from 2006 – 2008. He received his BA in History from Nyack College in New York (where he played college baseball), and his Master's Degree in Leadership and Management from Montreat College. After completing his undergraduate degree, Norton continued his baseball career at the professional level with several independent and minor league teams.

Norton and his wife Fawn, have 4 children ranging in ages from 4 – 13. On accepting the position at VHA Norton stated, “My family and I are beyond excited to join the VHA Eagle Family. Since visiting Heritage and interacting with the Board and Mr. Mc-Cormick, we have felt at home. God has truly guided our steps to come to VHA, and we cannot wait to see what He has in store for us, with all of you, the wonderful students, staff, and families of VHA! We cannot wait to soar with the Eagles on the playing field, in the community, and in the hallways of Vidalia Heritage Academy.”
