Country Musician Danny Dawson to Appear in McRae-Helena

Danny Dawson and the Danny Dawson Band will be performing at the Telfair Center for the Arts on Saturday in McRae-Helena on July 20, at 7:30 p.m. Proceeds from the performance will benefit the Pioneer Historical Society and Telfair Center for the Arts.

Although he appreciates other genres, Dawson’s passion is country music. He has sung with country greats Waylon Jennings, Travis Tritt, Tracey Lawrence, and Lee Roy Parnell and has opened for Ronnie Milsap, Tanya Tucker, Toby Keith, David Allen Coe, BJ Thomas, Faith Hill, Aaron Tippins, Mark Chestnutt, Allison Krauss, and Kris Kristofferson.

Dawson and his band performed 'Georgia on My Mind' at the Governor of Georgia's inauguration in January 2019. He has most recently opened shows for Marks Wills, Confederate Railroad, Mark Chestnutt, Ronnie Milsap, Neal McCoy, Lee Greenwood, and Sammy Kershaw. He has also performed at the South Carolina State Fair, and other fairs and festivals in North Carolina, South Carolina, Alabama, Florida, and Georgia.
