BPC Announces Volleyball Schedule

The Brewton-Parker College Women’s Volleyball program has announced the 2024 schedule ahead of the upcoming season for the Lady Barons. Head Coach, Obed Quiles enters his second season at the helm of the program and looks to continue to build success within the team.

The Lady Barons will have a small batch of returners, but will look to rely on new additions to help push the program’s future in the right direction. Brewton-Parker opens the season on the road with a Tri-Match at Toccoa Falls (Ga.) and will return home on September 6 against NCAA Division II opponent Savannah State (Ga.).

“We are thrilled about this upcoming season,” Quiles said. “I believe we are building something special here at BPC and I am excited about the incoming class we have. Brewton-Parker volleyball is going to continue to build and grow. The future is bright.”

Southern States Athletic Conference play begins early with a weekend on the road at Life (Ga.) on September 13 followed by a match at Point (Ga.) on September 14. BPC returns to Mount Vernon for a nonconference bout against Wesleyan (Ga.) on September 19 before heading to Middle Georgia on September 21. The Lady Barons will host four straight matches in Gillis Gymnasium with Life and Point on September27 and September 28, respectively. BPC opens October with matches against William Carey (Miss.) on October 4 and Loyola (La.) on October 5 before hitting the road for three games.

Brewton-Parker is set to compete in Gillis Gymnasium in five of the final seven matches slated in the regular season, beginning with a non-conference matchup against Toccoa Falls on October 22. The Lady Barons will compete at Wesleyan on October 29 before closing out the home stretch with Pensacola Christian (Fla.) on Nov. 1 and Middle Georgia on Nov. 2. The regular season finale is set for Nov. 8 at Faulkner (Ala.).
