Lyons Citizen of the Year

The Lyons Lions Club and City of Lyons will host the annual Lyons Citizen of the Year celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, September 26, at the Callaway Community Center. They are currently accepting nominations for the award. Nomination forms may be picked up at Lyons City Hall, or the Lyons branches of Peoples Bank, Vidalia Federal Savings Bank, and Ameris Bank.

Prayer Service

Brewton-Parker College Campus Pastor Steve McLeod will lead the community in a Back to School prayer service at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, in the Montgomery County Middle/High School gym.

Parrots at the

Library

The Teacher’s Paws with Squawks & Claws will be hosting an informational session about parrots and lovebirds at the Dr. Mark and Tonya Spivey Public Library at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23. A parrot and lovebird will also be available to meet and greet with the public.
